Non-Cataloged Types

Non-Cataloged Types are classes of materials for which libraries do not wish to add TitleRecord > VolumeRecord > CopyRecord holdings records to the catalog, but DO wish to track for usage statistics.

The non-cataloged types are:

• Adult Non-Fiction
• Audio Cassette
• Board Book
• Catalog
• Comic Book
• Computer
• Juvenile Non-Fiction
• Kit Item
• Magazine
• Music CD
• Pamphlet
• Paperback Book
• Puzzle
• Scouts Book
• Video

These non-cataloged types are shared by all libraries, system wide.

Non-cataloged types are also used to count in-house use.

Do not confuse non-cataloged items with Pre-Cataloged Items!
