Program: Stuck in a Communications Rut?

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut. We may hang onto an old hairstyle or eat the same meal over and over because – well – it’s works! Or we may continue to communicate our library’s mission and vision the same way we’ve done for the past 10 years – because –well it works – right?

Join us for an interactive session where we will share best practices and help challenge each other to hit the re-fresh button on our communications strategy. The session aims to inspire you and give you specific actions you can take back to your library to kick start your communications in 2019.

Presenter:
Laurie Riedman is a seasoned communicator, owner of Riedman Communications for over 30 years providing strategic counsel on all things communications from helping companies build the right communications team to selecting the right tools of the trade to strategically telling their story. Laurie has had a long-term love affair with libraries going back to when the librarian in her rural Connecticut town would have to flick the lights before closing to signal to 12-year old Laurie that it was time to stop reading between the stacks; check-out and go home! Laurie currently serves as the President of The Wood Library Board of Trustees and is a total fan of libraries of all sizes.
