Birds of a Feather - with Chris Finger
Using Forms on Google Drive to Create Surveys, Suggestion Links, and [possibly] WIN CANDY
In May's Birds of a Feather, Chris Finger will talk about how Geneva and the Central Library are using Forms on Google Drive to collect a variety
of information online from our patrons including surveys for programs, suggested items for purchase, and training sessions. The overview will cover
how to create forms, share those forms with co-workers, embed the forms on a website, and collect the submission results. Anyone that attends and meets some "rigorous" criteria will receive a sweet gift from the instructor.

Program: 3D Displays!
Why should the children’s librarians have ALL the craft fun?
Library directors and other staff who don’t usually get to mess around with scissors and glue –
Join Us for
a stress relieving system meeting with Leah Hamilton from the Phelps Community Memorial Library (youth services staff is, of course, welcome too!).
This will be a “Make & Take” System meeting. You will be creating a three dimensional itemthat you can take back to your library and display on your bulletin board. You will learn about the tools, materials, and skillsneeded for creating your own imaginative 3-D displays. [
Please bring scissors!] We’ll be working with Foamcore, a relatively inexpensive craft material consisting of a layer of polystyrene foam sandwiched between two layers of thick coated paper. Foamcore provides more stability than poster board while being easier to cut and manipulate than heavier, more rigid materials such as wood.
A visually appealing bulletin board will catch the attention of your patrons, and has the potential to boost your program attendance!
Speaker: Leah Hamilton
Facilitator: Heidi Jensen
