Pioneer Potpouri

• OWWL funding future

The Pioneer Board will be acting upon recommendations of the Finance Committee regarding the PLS OWWL cost subsidy in 2013 and beyond. Cassie will report out on the Board’s decision as well as facilitate a discussion of ways in which the impact of New York State budget cuts can be minimized at the local library level. Member reactions and suggestions are anticipated and welcome.

• Options for computer support

Representatives from Tri-Delta Resources will discuss the services they can provide to member libraries at a pre-arranged hourly rate negotiated by Pioneer on behalf of the members.

• Birth of a circ modifier

Now in its final trimester, after 6 months of analysis, the videogame circ modifier is about to emerge into the OWWL circulation map. Jim will review the prenatal period and discuss ways in which we can all cooperate for a healthy birth.
