166 people attended the meeting, representing 30 member libraries; and 70 library trustees were present.

Election of PLS Trustees

Ruby Morrison nominated by the Ontario County Public Library Advisory Council for a five-year term, January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019

David Jankowski nominated by the Wayne County Public Library Advisory Council for a five-year term, January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019 [He later had to decline. Merton Bartels was appointed Feb 2015 until the next Annual Dinner]

Chris Ryan nominated by the Livingston County Public Library Advisory Council to fill the unexpired term of Pat Lind, beginning October 9, 2014 to December 31, 2017

Awards

Pioneer Awards:

• 2014 Library Manager/Director of the Year – given for significant achievement in providing improved library services to a community or region
• 2014 Library Trustee of the Year – for significant contribution to the improvement or development of library service, which exceeds normal expectations of trustees
• 2014 Library Advocate of the Year – given to an individual who makes a significant or unique contribution to promote library visibility and relevancy
