Web Client - Scan Item as Missing Pieces

PLS does not recommend using Scan Items as Missing Pieces (from Circulation menu) or Mark Missing Pieces (from Check In). If an item is scanned as missing pieces, it is checked out to the last borrowing patron, or renewed if it is currently checked out, the copy status is changed to "Cataloging", and a slip is generated indicating the item has missing pieces.

Other than the slip, there is no confirmation that any action has been taken in Evergreen, particularly the loan/renewal.

PLS recommends handling missing pieces in some other way.
