Old Business
1. Storytime Make and Take Workshop evaluations were positive and there was great interest in repeating this type of training on a regular basis. Suggestions were to incorporate into Summer Reading Planning Workshop as well. Reasons people particularly appreciated it were the great variety and ability to attend all sessions.
2. Other
NYLA YSS Spring Conference is on Long Island on April 11. Registration information is coming soon.
Discussion of Ariel’s offer to do programs at member libraries as a Central Library Service. Ellen brought up that Central Library Service is defined as reference and adult. She mentioned the Teen Services grant and that Ariel and/or Jenny might put together a program proposal and libraries could “hire” them with the grant to do programs for them. They would do this on their time and not their library’s time.
New Business
1. Possibility of using E-vanced Solutions for Summer Reading registration and reporting.
The group doesn’t want to use the grant towards this for 2008 as many have already built the LSTA Mini-Grant into their 2008 Summer Reading programming budget. NYS is working on a state-wide project. Will wait to see what develops there.
Summer Reading Planning Workshop
1. Review of evaluations of 2007 workshop indicate that people want:

3. Format
Six 30-40 minute sessions so that everyone can attend all sessions if they want to.
