Title: Creating a Community Garden

Presenter: Fred Conrad

About: A community garden converts an unused plot into green, productive space where people can gather together to grow fresh produce and flowers. There are many benefits of starting a community garden including promoting a healthier lifestyle, fostering a cleaner environment, and creating educational opportunities for community members of all ages. Community gardens are popping up at libraries across the country, and at this workshop Fred Conrad, a Community Garden Coordinator with over 23 years experience, will share information and resources to put your library on the path towards creating a community garden.
