Ordering:
- Reviewed ordering procedures. Please note the following:
- Save cart as follows “CT_yourinitals_date-year,month, day” Example: “ CT_pf_20130509”
- Once you have made your selections, select PURCHASE and place to order. (We do not review order here, you must place your own order)
- Please pay attention to screen as to whether we own it or not
- Before you buy any “classics” check the “always available” section on overdrive
- Reminder – preferred format is MP3
- See buying schedule and make note of your week. Pat will send email to selector as she sees that week hasn’t been bought
Overdrive:
- Betsy to review with Overdrive the following concerns:
- Is there a way to notify if title is not selected?
- Can large banner ads in middle of page, be moved to bottom?
- Is there a way to reduce size of book icons on page
Non-Fiction: 2 methods for bringing NF titles to the attention of CBA purchasers (Wendy)
- Use the Recommend feature from within OWWL2go
- Add titles to the CBA_CT_recommends cart (WF will transfer to active CBA purchases)
- Will need to leave dummy title in to retain this cart (Russian title)
Recommendations:
The team recommended discontinuing “Duke classics” since these titles are available in the public domain and use this money instead to purchase the 661 titles in the Disney collection. Selectors indicated there has been a request from patrons for J-ebooks. PLS will purchase (see schedule) when money is deposited into Overdrive account. We will need to advertise and promote these titles to libraries.
