Circulation Limit

As per OWWLAC recommendation, libraries can request that circulation limits be set in Evergreen to automatically limit the number of items per circulation modifier that a patron can borrow at one time.

Circulation limits:

• Affect ALL items of the circulation modifier checked out at the library (including items from other libraries fulfilling holds)
• Include items previously checked out at the limiting checkout library
• Do NOT include previously checked out items checked out from another library
• Are not related to the patron's home library
• CAN be overridden at library discretion, such as in the case of holds

Overrides

Staff can override the checkout limit. This is up to the individual library. Once the circulation limit is overridden, all subsequent items will check out.
