New in the catalog: Patron Reviews
Demonstration of the ChiliFresh reviews service
- Draft Catalog Reviews Flier
- Lindsay gave a demo of the coming-soon ChiliFresh review functions being added to the OWWL catalog.
- Each title (excluding electronic materials) will be reviewable
- Reviews in English or Spanish will be posted
- Reviews are sortable
- Libraries can create reviewer accounts that can be used by readers advisory groups, summer reading groups, etc.
- Reviews are moderated
- User logins are separate from OPAC logins
- A "soft" roll-out is expected by the end of December. Lindsay is creating an informational flier to alert users.
Legacy Bills Browser
LegacyBills
- Legacy bills are searchable by Patron name or barcode and Item title (this is new)
- Go to the Pioneer home page and click on About Us, then click on Staff Login and enter your login
- Individual bills of $5.00 or more are included in this database. This is not a cumulative amount of bills a patron may have. Those items will just appear on their account as Legacy bills without further available information.
Holdings update: Bad Stat Cat report clean up project (Ellen Reynolds)
- Ellen discussed the necessity of cleaning up the bad/unset Statistical Categories in Item Attributes and demonstrated how to fix them.
- If not cleaned up, these may negatively impact a library's annual report statistics
- Most attending libraries agreed to take care of their items -- Kathryn will send lists
Other
- Questions brought up that need investigation:
- Can library staff access patron login information for Chilifresh?
- New version of Evergreen will be coming shortly
- One of the new features is the Wish List.
- Related to holds, not exactly sure how it works
- Adding items to bookbags: will this be more direct or user friendly?
- WIL hold limit on magazines. Is there a copy level hold limit?
- Will patrons blocked or expired accounts ever be blocked from accessing WiFi?
