Summary of Attendance

The attendance report was given by Pioneer Library System trustee Carolyn Meisel.

165 people attended the meeting, representing 33 member libraries;
and 76 library trustees were present.

Election of PLS Trustee

• Mary Ellen Darling was nominated by the Ontario County Public Library Advisory Council for a five-year term, January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2018.
• Patricia Edwards was nominated by the Wyoming County Library Advisory Council for a five-year term, January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2018.

Awards

Pioneer Awards:

• 2013 Library Trustee of the Year – for significant contribution to the improvement or development of library service,
  which exceeds normal expectations of trustees – awarded to Carol Sergeant, Sodus Community Library.
• 2013 Library Advocate of the Year – given to an individual who makes a significant or unique contribution
  to promote library visibility and relevancy – Mary Conable, Warsaw Public Library.
• 2013 Library Directors of the Year – given for significant achievement in providing improved library services
  to a community or region – awarded to Leah Hamilton, Phelps Community Memorial Library and Carol Garland, Sodus Community Library.
