PLS Notes July 31, 2020

Happy Friday! Here is this week's round up of news, information, and resources from the PLS team. As a reminder, PLS Notes is indexed on OWWL Docs under Member Library Documentation so past issues can be easily referenced.

Digital Divide Data

Have you ever wished you had a brief document to share data on the digital divide in your area? Good news! The Finger Lakes Digital Inclusion Coalition (FLDIC) has put together data sheets for each of the four OWWL counties, as well as one for the entire area, with statistics and maps on computer and internet access plus demographics. These data sheets are available here and can be downloaded for offline access.

Office Hours

Ron and Suzanne will continue to hold Office Hours for Directors on Fridays through August 14. Jump on to say "Hello," ask a COVID or non-COVID library question, or describe all the TikToks you watched this week. The GoToMeeting information can be found here.

The Best Tech Tip in the Whole Wide World

You know how every day you have a dozen tabs open in your browser and every day you accidentally close the wrong one? Well you can get that tab back with just 3 keystrokes! Hit Ctrl+Shift+T on your PC or Command+Shift+T on your Mac and automatically reopen the tab you just closed. Ta-da!
